This is the new North Kingdom website. It has been a long time coming, but you know how it is. We have been working with so many fun and interesting projects these past years that our own website has been in the shadow for a long long time. A few of you are probably wondering, “Where is the awesome flash?” “Where are the 3d characters?” “iPad friendly?” ”Huh? Is this another WordPress based website?”. Answer is Yes! Less is more, or so they say. And they also say “Content is King”.

My name is Edwin Tofslie and have a background in online and traditional Creative Direction, Art Direction and Design. I have been lucky enough to work on some great brands over the past few years. Much of my career has been spent in the San Francisco Bay area at AKQA and EVB. I left the Bay Area and moved to one of the best places in America (next to Montana), Hood River, OR. I am now working at Summit Projects leading up brands such as Nike Golf.
Design Philosophy
As you look through my design work you might notice that I don’t have a set “style”. Instead of working in one defined way or latching onto the latest “cool” trend I try and approach each project with a fresh perspective, making each project great in its own right. The projects found in my body of work span a 7-year period from 2003-2009.

Hi. My name is Michael, and this is my website. I am an Art Director + Designer with over 7 years of experience. Currently, I work full time at Emerge Partners as Senior Art Director, while also taking on a limited amount of freelace out of my studio in Matawan NJ.
In my spare time, I can be usually be found at the beach or roaming around the NYC Metropolitan area.
